The process for a new medicament is very complex and time consuming. Only 10 out of 10.000 ideas are tested on people, and only 1 out of 10 products are approved and sold afterwards. Development usually takes 10 to 13 years, from the initial work in the laboratories, until the products are finally launched.
When it comes to developing new medicine, participants for research projects are often few in numbers and difficult to find. Therefore, patient recruitment can be very time consuming, which means that ill patients must wait to receive treatment.
Our goal is to improve health and to develop new treatments by connecting patients and researchers.
